Someones, not mine. It is in San Marcos, probably only 30-40 years old. They probably never got beyond tarpaper on the roof, and the floor joists were spaced at 6' resting upon cedar posts.
The walls are composed of 4" CMU with 5 round cores. They are solid grouted and there is no movement at all in that part of the structure. In the second picture, you can see where the transition from CMU to lath over studs is, a prime candidate for an expansion joint. |
