Getting Jobs? Sales Person?

Hi, I have a big problem right now. Its summer, and I have no work to do!

I have finished everything and I was not able to get more projects to do...

My company specialty is Masonry, could anybody guide me a little in how to get some jobs?

I have been told to get a sales person, but Im new at this and I dont really know how all this works....

Thank You!

Re: Getting Jobs? Sales Person?

My way is to design a hand out leaflet in Microsoft Word (two sides, two vertical rectangular hand-outs on each 8 1/2 x 11 sheet).
Have it printed by a copy center (either they or you cut the
sheets in middle to make two per page).

Make sure leaflet shows examples (photos) of disasterous subsidence, spalling, efflorescence, bad previous work, etc... so customer will immediately have an "Aha!" moment when he/she thinks "That's just what my masonry looks like!".

And, if possible, have a picture on flip side showing the beautiful work you do to bring things up to snuff.

Drive around and look for deteriorated steps, landings, walkways, brick and stone shoulders/steps. Stop car. Get out of car. Stick leaflet in mailbox. Its a great way to stay in shape when not working! Customers will call for estimates if/when interested and desperate enough.

I've found this consistently works. It's the winters that are hardest in cold climes.
