Expansion Putty?
I have these gaps (expansion, I guess...I'm no mason) in my sidewalks. It irritates me that weeds will attempt to grow in these little spaces...debris moves in...etc.
Is there some sort of a putty/caulking material that can be used to fill these gaps in while allowing the concrete to expand/contract...AND w/o me having to apply it every year ?

Re: Expansion Putty?
Put in a backer rod so the top is below the sidewalk by at least 1/2 the joint width.
Caulk with a high quality caulk.

I don't use caulk much in my trade...at home, it's just for around windows and when painting...and believe me, it's cheap. What would be a high quality caulk for concrete?

NP1 is available nationwide and is very good. Search this forum for "joint detail" for a detailed explanation of the process.

Re: Expansion Putty?
Thanks guys!
I don't imagine (but what the hell do I know ) this stuff could be all that expensive ...but the trade off is no more weeds and crap and that is PRICELESS.
