Concrete Finishing Question

I'm replacing 3 concrete steps in a staircase and trying to match the existing concrete texture. The existing texture is not a broom finish but it is a good non skid surface. A bit more sandy and uniform throughout. It is definitely common and not all that unique but I've just never had to create this texture so I don't know how to do it. Someone said it may be acid washed? I'm not concerned about color, just texture.

If you understand what I mean...does anyone know how I might be able to create this? Thank you.

Re: Concrete Finishing Question

Pizza shaker, the one with the big holes, and coarse mason's sand. Apply as needed, after the last troweling before it is "hard".
