Re: Concrete Finishing
I just paid the bill from my concrete contractor. Two driveways and lead sidewalks. 4" thick $3.20 per square foot, formed, placed, finished, labor and materials.
6" thick drive approach (between curb and sidewalk including sidewalk at driveway, $3.95 per square foot. Tractor time (grading with a bobcat) $35 per hour. Now before you start complaining about how us GC's screw our subs, I don't ask for or receive bids from this sub, I just call him and have him do the job and bill me. He prices my jobs the way he prices jobs he does for other contractors. |

Re: Concrete Finishing
I charge fifty cent a square for a 1 sack mix. If I have to buy 2 sacks the price goes way up.

Re: Concrete Finishing
I have to agree with Joasis. If you are in the concrete business, ya ought to know. With that said, it is a loaded question as there are so many variations to a pour;
* What is the size of the pour? * Finish desired? * Can you get the truck to it? * Will we have to drag it? * What about the number of plumbing pipes to work around? * On Vapor barrier? * Boom truck or line pump? * Do we have access to edges, etc.? * What type of concrete is it? * What is the ready mix supplier's quality control? * Will the trucks keep coming as scheduled? Need I go further in depth with the questions? I can. |
