Concrete Countertop Questions

I have to start out by saying i am absolutely fascinated with this site. It's great that there is a place where people in the same profession can talk and share ideas. So i may ramble a bit, bare with me. I am a stone mason of 16 yrs. recently on my own the past year and a half or so, not by choice but has worked out pretty fair, thats a whole other subject. I lay all types of stone from natural fieldstone, split stone which by far is my favorite, flagstone,cultured, natural thin veneer. Would love to post some pic's and get oppinions from others who know. I am doing a split stone bar in my basement and very interested in trying a concrete countertop. I have been looking on the internet on how to do it the past year or so and have gotten a lot of info. The thought of fiber optic lighting in the top came up in conversation with me and a fellow stonemason so i looked it up and ended up here looking at 6strings post. And for the last 6 hours or so looking at all the other posts ending where 6string first came to this sight. I couldn't see the pics u posted of your fiber optic counter top , not sure why, but by reading all your other posts i gather you no your **** lol. I am unsure exactly how you did it. Did you drill all the way thru the countertop and feed the optic thru the hole to a light source? I know you said you drilled a 1/16 hole 1/2" deep then what? put a half inch piece of fiber optic in the hole? How does it gather the light? I have so many questions about the countertops, but i'll start and stop with this one for now so i don't bore you all.
