CMU Blocks 2hr Fire Resistance

Hi,
I am working in asia, specific will be Singapore. Now I am doing a project with dilemma.
The project I am handling now requires the used of Aerated Lightweight Concrete and Concrete Masonry Unit. Both blocks have different characteristics.

ALC do not satisfy the point load capacity, while CMU, not all sizes gives a minimum 2 hr fire resistance. As the project requires the test reports of 90mm, 140mm and 190mm CMU block 2hr FR. I could only manage to get the 140 and 190. Have no more leads to find the other test report.

As for the ALC, what are the point load capacity. And does the CMU blocks require infill to work better? How about CMU point load?

Contact your local supplier as any information relating to these 2 specific properties will rely upon the materials used in that location.

Your ALC or AAC will have a strength that is always lower than a CMU.

The strength of the AAC depends on the density of the concrete and in some cases the manufacturing methods. Contact the supplier for the accurate information.
