Cleaning Smoke Stained Masonry


What are the options for cleaning smoke stained brick?

TSP is the best, if you can find it. Don't bother with acids, they have no effect on soot.

Try using a butyl based cleaner.Castroil Super Clean or Purple Power usually work great on this.Mix 1:1 with water.
