Bluestone Rain Cap
I will be installing a bluestone rain cap on a chimney that has no liner. I will be replacing the crown. What should be the distance, in inches, between the top of the chimney and the bottom of the rain cap?

what ever you like.
i prefer about 6 inches.but have also seen then right on top of the crown.
