Re: Biding Question

Here in Western NY we're getting from $4.75 -$5.50/sq ft(depends on type of job) and $4.50 for enhancements;since columns are all level work and corners we charge $4.50/ln ft of corner(2 per column).
Stone(cultured) is easier, so a flat $10.00/sq ft is what we're charging, but in your area might be a little different.
Good Luck!

Re: Biding Question

Yes, T, I meant labor only, nowadays just little jobs/customers will let you get the material too, they have the feeling that you'll charge $.20 more per brick and make an easy buck off that(they are getting smarter); in bigger jobs perhaps, but you'll be putting your money upfront in the line without knowing when you'll get it back, in bigger jobs it takes months to get the money back, bigger fishes play with your money for as long as they can(and some are crooked too), so, biding just labor is they safest way for us.
Regards!

Re: Biding Question

on a 24x24x8' column i would get 150.00 plus my brick count of .55 per brick.anything over 8' would 150.00 plus brick count plus 25.00 per foot over 8'.
natural stone would be the same except i would get my stone price of 10.00 sq ft.
artifical stone would be a flat 4.00 sq ft.
