Basement Walls (stone)
I would like to know some opinions on the right mix for stone walls...I use 20 shovels of sand 1 bag of portland cement and 1/4 bag of lime to parg the walls...does this sound like a good mix, and if not could you let me know what you use...
thank you |

Re: Basement Walls (stone)
Do you parge your walls on the inside?

Re: Basement Walls (stone)
If it is interior walls typically we use a 4:1:1 ratio, just like a stucco mixture. If you are simply parging, do it in lifts if it is thick, or it will crack out. A bonding agent is always helpful. I do not parge anymore, I rewire and stucco. Better, long lasting job
