Advertising That Works For Mason

Hello, i'm a brick mason from Michigan. My ? is what kind of advertising are you guys using that is been working to attract more homeowners. In MI. new residential construction is dead. So i been doing work for homeowner. Jobs like rebuild, repairs chimneys, porches, tuckpointing etc. With this type of small jobs i need a lot of work to keep busy. Just want to know what kind of marketing are you guys doing since new constrution is so slow.

If you're working in neighborhoods, try going to the neighbor's houses and introducing yourself, and leaving a flier & a business card. Hi,I'm working next door, and here's what I do, let me know if I can help you...

Oh, and use the search function at the top of the page for more better ideas!

So what type of jobs are you bricklayers getting. Since new construction is so slow. Like for myself the only work out there is repair work.

Intra, find every door installer in your area and offer them something for leads. I've had so many people over the years ask me if I knew someone that would rebuild their brick stairs or walkways.

I use one or two bricklayers around here for repairs, pointing, chimney work, etc.
Right now, repair and remodeling is where folks will be spending.
Use your website, referrals, grocery store bulletin boards. Surely your old GC can send you some repair leads too. Networking wit other trades is usually good.

If you're any good, repair work is where the money is at. There's always something that needs to be fixed. You get paid a lot faster doing repair work than waiting on some slacker GC to cough up the dough.

You always have to adapt to the current economic conditions in your area. As the saying goes, never put your all your eggs in one basket.
