Re: Work Platform For Sale

Two reasons,

First, I've had only two siding jobs over the last two years that I've owned it. It was incredibly helpful on those projects, but for the most part, it just sits around. I'm getting more involved with interior renovation and restoration now.

Second, I need the cash more than I need the use of the platform once a year. A siding and or roofing company could get some good use of this.

Re: Work Platform For Sale

I wouldn't mind having it, but it is quicker for us to use a work platform on our RT forklift, and we have a RT scissor lift.

I would think it would be the cat's paw if a guy didn't have the larger equipment.

Re: Work Platform For Sale

I am doing .50 a sq/ft on steel erections now as a surcharge. This takes care of trip, and equipment fuel.

Is that listed as a seperate clause or side item cost, or is it just how much more you are adding to your bid in the first place?

Re: Work Platform For Sale

I tell customers what I am doing on the bidding, if the job is out of the immediate area. I did a bid last week for a job 155 miles from here, and added $1 a sq/ft noted in the proposal, or $5000 dollars on a 50 X 100 steel erection.
