Rigid SeeSnake is one of the best avail for the camera. Are you looking to buy new or used?

On this site I would expect to buy one used. However these cameras are so expensive to repair that should I buy one used I would expect to get a great DEAL. In fact I would be so nervous about buying a used camera that it would have to be an offer I couldn't refuse. This will be my first camera and I agree that something like the Ridgid SeeSnake would be ideal. However, price unfortunately is an issue and so I have been looking at another comparable camera offered by South Coast Equipment on E-bay for about 1/2 the cost. I know another plumbing company that recently purchased one of their cameras and reports that it works fine although not quite as nice as the seesnake. I have to think that no one would be willing to sell me a seesnake or geneye for what I would be comfortable paying for a used camera but I thought I would take a shot.

If you or anyone else has one that's in good/excellent condition and are just tired of it collecting dust (can't imagine why this piece of equipment would ever do that?) I certainly would like to talk with you about it.

Re: Sewer Camera

Contact you local plumbing supplier that carries General or Ridgid, ask to get in touch with the factory reps. They often will have camera packages they have taken in trade from someone or repossessions. I've bought three systems this way in the past. Right now, I'm cameraless and hate it, but I haven't needed one in 2 years.

Eds Video in Fargo ND sells a bunch of systems on ebay as well. I've heard good things about their stuff. Get in touch with them and see if they can provide some references.

Hey, I appreciate the tip and will definately check with the local reps and with Eds. I have taken my time about this purchase. Up until now it has been because I didn't have the money set aside (I'm not financing anything that I don't have to) but now I think I'm ready to purchase something and probably don't want to delay very much longer. Cameras are gold mines. I rarely try to sell this service but when I have to have one I have been renting one from a local rental yard but this has gotten very old and I would like to begin selling the service as an option to anyone who has cause to suspect or just wants to know the condition of their drainage system. A picture is worth a thousand words and leads to thousands of dollars.
