Re: Danzier Morrisson Utility Capwow that looks exactly like the cap on my red truck. it is a Monroe with clear 48 inches inside dimension between the boxes. I welded an angle to each side to carry sheet goods. The cap I have is too heavy though at 550 pounds empty. Is yours any lighter? that may work on my blue truck. Picture below that theres a story to, No i didn't drive it like that. a lumber delivery came before the dumpster was pulled out of the driveway. i had them lower it onto this truck and i backed into the driveway alongside the right side of the house you see in the picture. I then passed the lumber to my (business) partner over the dumpster and into the back yard. Last edited by A W Smith; 01-19-2008 at 04:00 PM. |

Re: Danzier Morrisson Utility Cap
My buddy would buy those side boxes for $300 if you have a way to get them to New Hampshire cheap

Re: Danzier Morrisson Utility Cap
The cap weighs about 1000lbs. I took it off a 3/4 ton dodge.
Cant really tell the diff when driving. I wish I could deliver, it would make it easier to get rid of but Im not willing to do it,sorry. The caps just sitting on a shed foundation(cant do anything with the shed till its gone). |

wow I thought mine was heavy at 550 pounds. are you sure? Mines made of some pretty thick steel. I cant imagine making a cap much heavier, Do you have a link to the manufacturer? I come up blank googling "Danzier morrisson". I took my cap off my gmc I had. when I put it on the ford I had to reinforce the bed by welding a 2x4 .120 wall steel crossmember under the bed at the tailgate. Or the bed would bend and the tailgate would jam on the truck cap boxes. I also added three leaves to the springs. |
