Do a disk cleanup (in accessories, system tools. DO NOT "Compress old files") and a spyware cleanup. You can download for free at Downloads.com.
What protection are you using? Norton? McAfee? Get rid of and Download AVAST!

Ok did a disk clean up and run ad aware, so far so good but not sure yet, I'll have to do a full ad aware scan, quick scan found brower hijacks and other crap.

I think I was hijacked, I hate people who pull crap like that, to think my grandkids use my computer to play on the net, that's all I needed was hijacks to show them crap like that. |

If you are using a version of Mozilla [Seamonkey, Firefox, etc] get Ad Block Plus...it's free.
If you are using MS Internet Explorer - ditch it and go with a Mozilla based browser...also free. MSIE is a favorite target of hacks, script kiddies, and assorted malcontents.

This is one of the ones that I use. It finds many things the others miss. It is free for the scanner and has a purchase price for the realtime version. My son had a virus that nothing else would get rid of. This got it first time.

 They offer a slew of free tools and services ........ ......although the version I use was paid for:  Trend Micro Internet Security Pro

Yes all fixed now. I have Spyware Terminator, a free program, running in the background now. It lets me know when ever there is a change taking place and will ask for permission 1st.
