Seems to be working again...

A while back I mentioned that the links were all bold even when I had viewed them. Well, now they seem to be working again. The bold links are unviewed and the nonbold links are ones I have looked at. Makes it easier to navigate the site. Good job.

Intersesting. Nothing has changed on my end and all the other forums I visit never exibited this problem (woodworkingtalk did). And as of yesterday it seemed to start working properly again. So, who accidentally pushed the right button.

Somewhere along the line I came to realize that that problem will definitely happen if you go directly from viewing a thread to anything other than the forum or sub-forum it's contained in. You have to click your way up through the hierarchy to have the flags appropriately reset.

Since realizing that, and just resigning myself to the fact that ANY activity, like viewing one thread only, resets things so that when I come back one or several hours later, only activity since that last time is shown as new, I've had no issues to speak of. <--Wow, what an awkward sentence!

Once in a long while certain threads refuse to update and show as "read". All I have to do is exit & restart Chrome and everything behaves properly again.
