My fiance would probably like that to happen to me also... is there a spouse control on this site?

Dirt, I had a problem a few months ago where my Outlook date was wrong it screwed up all of my e-mails and I could not view this site correctly. Check your computer's date and time.

Re: I Think Ive Been Put On Some Type Of Administrative Disciplinary Action Type Status

I have xp. I'm only speculating, but seriously, it has done some goofy things and not just to my computer. I have a button on my AutoCAD that went AWOL. No way to turn this "button" off unless I really go digging for it.

And I now have to "sign in" on my computer.....again.

No I usually only use Firefox, but occasionally IE opens when I click a link or something like that. Can never figure that out.

Can't help ya with that...but here's another MS created mystery...

I have a HP 4110 printer....when the browser was updated to 7.x (which I don't even use) as one of the "updates" awhile back - my printer stopped working.
WTF?
Thanks Bill.

...and some people wonder why all the hackers attack Windows OS.

Framerman, when was the last time you cleaned up your computer?

1.Do a virus check
2.Then do scandisk
3.Defrag the hard drive.

After you do that,

Go to "My Computer" enable the address bar then type this:
%temp%

It will show you two temp folders. Delete all the temp files.

Then go back and re-do 1-3.

I had the same problem on my laptop. Outlook/E-fax and any other program that need internet access went ari on my laptop.

My I.T. tech had me do this and it seemed to work with the exception of my E-Fax.

Hope this helps.

That is an interesting fix. But how do you do this:

I tried it, enabled the Address Bar on my view button, but found no place to type in the temp files. Can you describe this better?

Go to my computer/ View / address bar.
I think you have to drag open the column or dbl click it. It will then look like your internet explorer box. (I think)

Re: I Think Ive Been Put On Some Type Of Administrative Disciplinary Action Type Status

I reformatted not long ago, but that doesn't really save me either. I usually come across a "problem" google search it to fix it, then I usually end up in the registry which I know is a dangerous place, but feel comfortable doing stuff there.

after the win xp update, it re-checked the box for "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer"

Federal Way huh? I used to live in Sultan.

Re: I Think Ive Been Put On Some Type Of Administrative Disciplinary Action Type Status

It should look like this:

Then type in the address box %temp%:

Delete all items:

After that go to your file tab and click it and you should see two sub folders named ( Temp files, Temp Internet Files ) then delete all the contents in those folders.:
