How to link directly to a post

Sometimes it's helpful to link directly to a specific post in a thread rather than linking to the entire thread. As threads get long it can get hard to find the content your wanting to reference. We recently made some changes to the site to make this easier. Here are the steps.

#1 Find the post your interested in referencing and click on the post number in the upper right hand corner of that post:

#2 Copy the URL in your browser address bar:

#3 Past the URL in an email or anywhere you want to reference it for someone. Or, bookmark it for future reference.

I hope that helps. Thanks.

Nathan,

Thanks for a new trick to make posting easier and more relevant.

Can you also use the Multi-Quote icon just to reference to ANY post, regardless if it is in the current thread or not?

The multi-quote works for responding to specific posts within a thread. What I'm talking about is linking to a specific post. So, if I wanted to email you a link to a specific post in a thread this is what I'd do.
