This is the link I use when going to CT, and it works well with Chrome & a Windows 10 laptop:

Re: Getting Logged Out

It's been over a month... Is there any update as to when this is going to be fixed or is the work-around the new normal?

Also, noticed that when you use the work-around, and you go to "My Profile" you're logged out again (which is the reverse) but you can still go to other parts of the site and still be logged in... don't know if this helps zero in on the issue, but figured I would mention it..

Mine is back to normal now. Not sure quite what happened to fix it. But a while back all my favorite sites on Edge cleared so had to go back and do contractor.com , logged in then readded it to my favorites list. Now is fine. So might be something to try. Before was just clicking on the favorite link and doing the work around.

Glad to hear yours is working... have all up to date apps, cleared cache, etc... still no joy...

Since we haven't seen an update or something saying it's resolved, can only assume they are still working on it...

Is doing the work around that big of a deal? Not really, more of an annoyance, but not something that should still be a issue this long considering the amount of these sites that are under one umbrella... those who have been around CT a while are familiar with the occasional tech issues, which the tech people normally are on top of and get it resolved quick to their credit, but imagine how new users feel about having to do a work around (if they even know about it) to login...

Is there any update as to when we can expect this login issue to be fixed? It's been over two months now...

Or is the workaround just the new normal going forward?

Yeah.. thanks for the suggestions... tried all the workarounds... only one seems to work... never been an issue before... my guess is they are still working on this...

After two months and over a month since the last update, would be nice to get an update on when they expect it to be corrected (or not) though ...

Re: Getting Logged Out

They have not yet found a solution for the issue.

For now, the only option is the work around previously mentioned.

For most people, the following still appears to be true.

Quote:
If you login from the homepage of the site, it will confirm you are logged in, but if you click on forums, you are no longer logged in and it just keeps taking you around in a vicious circle.

To fix it you have to log completely out and then go to the forum page to login.
