Performance System Built Homes and Energy Efficiency Hello

Just wanted to share a little about myself. I have been selling modular homes as a factory rep for a number of years. Six months ago I started looking at selling solar homes (passive, active and photovoltiacs). In my research I found that the building envelope is key to an energy efficient home. This led me to Energy Star, the Department of Energy and Resnet.

My emphasis in the past was selling house and filling a production line. Now I push home performance. High Performance homes are more than energy efficient. The other factors come into play is how the house works as a system. A high performance home is one that is affordable, energy efficient, healthier, more comfortable and durable (designed to last more than a 100 years).

I am a Energy Star partner and a member of RESNET.
