No Leads-So I Figure I Join The Forum
Hello everyone
I have been a contractor since i was 20.Turning 50 this year ![]() I own a small co with a partner.I do most of the closing and banking,90% of our business is getting HI loans for homeowners or getting them a new mortage or a equity line with cash out for the work. My partner handles all of the jobs that are running and getting prices from the subs we give out the work too.. But business is very slow.Seems the customers that are easy sales have bad credit and the ones that have good credit are shoppers. I get my leads by sending out mailers. For years every 5000 batch always got me into 5-8 houses....not any more.My june list i got three replys and two sales out of them and i am preying that this month's mailers will be better How is business for the rest of you?

Still get calls. Referrals all. No sales pitch or flyers.

Business has slowed down, but we just redid our brochures and flyers and continue to hand them out. We average about 2500 new homes every month and hope that it continues to generate leads. It accounted for 39% of sales for 2008. There are still people out there that need work done and it is a matter of who gets thier name in front of them first.
Goodluck. |

FCI..Do you use kids to hand them out door to door? The reason i am asking is that ,that's was what i was going to do.Mailers are costing me around $3500 per month..maybe i am better off just paying some kids to do it..Give them like $10 an hour and a few bucks commission. |
