Newbie Online

Hello everyone,

I'm new to contractor talk and just wanted to introduce myself. I own a painting business called kingdom builders pro painting out of fredericksburg texas. I have been on painttalk but not very long. Still trying to learn how to effectively use these sites. I posted a thread on paint talk and nobody responded for like 5days until I said hey whats up? why is nobody responding to my question? Then a few people finally responded. It was just a simple question about staining shutters. Can some of you guys tell me a few of the ins and outs to effectively using and contributing on these sites? Thanks.

Hi Mark,

Welcome to CT.

I can't tell you why it took so long to get a reply to your post on Paintertalk. There may be less traffic over there (?).

Welcome to CT
If you want to incite the masses - ask how much should I charge
Use the Search feature - a lot of questions have been asked before, if not feel free to post - just make sure you add in all the info required (shutters are they wood - type, vinyl, fiberglass, operable or fixed, oil or latex, primer, etc...)
Help others out with their issues, and browse through other threads that interest you - it is amazing the stuff you can pick up
If your a newbie in the field - fess up - don't state 7 years & never seen how to install primer on an overhang, etc...
I hope this helps & welcome again
