New To This Site
Hello Everyone,
I just found this site and decided to join to help me learn about what the members of this site are feeling or experiencing in today's economy. I own a company that is a construction consulting company who helps a homeowner build their own home. I live in NC and it is legal in this state to be a homeowner general contractor. I provide a turnkey solution at a minimal cost for the GC fee, i.e. up charge. I do not add any charge to the subs quote and the sub and the homeowner signs a contract before all work begins. I make my money by charging a flat fee per square foot of the home. The cost of the home does not effect my consulting fee. It is a bit unique, I think, in the industry but I seem to have caught a niche most builders have not.  Bob
