New From Savannah, GA

Just wanted to introduce myself. I have been visiting this site for about 6 months and found it to be a great source of information as well as entertainment. I have grown up in Savannah with my father building houses and left for school (college of charleston) to get a BA in Business Admin. after high school. Afterwards I moved home and built a 1000sq ft guest house for my grandmother and then renovated the main house for my mother adn her husband. All of which was done with the guidance and assistance of an older framing carpenter which I have continued to work with for some time. But now I am planning on taking the residential test adn move away from some of teh hands on. I have learned alot by working next to tradesmen, adn trying to understand them and their trade better, so as to become a more well-rounded contractor. Problem is I since I have not delegated too many taskes and just stuck to smaller projects with plenty of detail, they have taken a while to complete. In a nut shell, I don't even know if I have enough projects (CO's in the last 2 years) to qualify to take the GA test. Anyway, I thank you all for your previous inputs on topics adn have used much of it and will continue to as well as probably be asking advice. Thanks, and if you woundered we don't talk like Paula Dean in savannah (she is from middle georgia).

Re: New From Savannah, GA

I was stationed at Hunter Army Air Field for 18 months, absolutely the best duty station in the Army. I grew to love Savannah so much I named my third child Savannah.

I was able to go back a couple years ago and see it again and I fell in love with that town all over again.

I am so happy that the greatest General (Sherman, sorry Lee fans) of the Civil...oops The War Between the States did not destroy it. I know that is a dirty name there.

Anyway welcome aboard.

Andy.
