I live in Thomasville, NC near Winston and Greensboro but I have been remodeling A 100 year old home east of you in the downeast community of Atlantic near Harkers Island. Do you ever go down that way?

Wes,
I'm new here too.... I grew up Downeast. Marshallberg to be exact.
Childerss is making me homesick! Atlantic, Davis, Harkers Island is my old stomping grounds. Lot of relatives andfriends still there. It may not be God's country to some but to me when I cross the North River bridge and smell that marsh, man.....home sweet home for me!!

I have been going downeast since the early 90s and finally was able to buy a junker in atlantic a couple years ago with hopes of moving down one day. Man I know what you mean when you cross that north river bridge, I may have to go oystering now!!

Back in the 70s.....You could stop anywhere that you could get to the water and pick up all the oysters, scallops and clams you wanted. Them days are gone. Good luck on the fix-er-upper. Need any paint stripping, let me know.........
