New Member In CA

Hi All,

I just joined a little while ago and so far I have already learned alot! Thanks all for sharing your stories/advice. I am a Remodeling/General Contractor with 20 years of carpentry and framing experience. I have done everything from custom homes in Beverly Hills to small handyman type jobs.
The economy has really slowed things down for me. I live in a heavily populated area near Los Angeles with a pretty high average household income. I am hoping to get some good ideas on how to get some more business. After considering services like Service Magic and remodeler.com, and getting all your feedback, I am steering clear of those. Now I need to figure out ways to get more leads without spending $ on marketing I don't have. I look forward to learning alot more from you all.

Welcome to CT, first please put your location in your profile, secondly I hate to say it but you have to spend money to make money. Advertising budgets run anywhere from 2.5% to 10% of sales for almost everyone, with an average of 5%
