New Guy From Toronto Ontario-apprentice

I'm 29 years old. Worked in the TV industry for 12 years, and have been out of solid work since august 2008. I tried to work independently, but with the market over flooded, I'm thinking of a career change.

The government is offering a second career program right now, and it looks like I'm qualified to apply to the program.

I am interested in learning the plumbing trade, or something similar (gas fitter, pipe/steam fitter, etc.)

Out of that group, I am most interested in Plumbing, but would like to learn more about the trade before I make a final decision.

The only school I found other than Ottawa and North Bay (closed), was in Whitby, at Durham college, for plumbing in all of Ontario (public colleges), which I find strange, since it appears to be a much needed trade.

I posted a thread in the plumbing section with some questions for you guys.
I'm new to the forum so it won't let me post links yet, but the thread number is:

#57403 in the Plumbing section.

Thanks for reading...

Mike
