First Post in "Introductions". (A place that I have NEVER posted in.)

Saying that "Questions will be many" and NOT asking a question(s) concerning "How to" or "How much"!

Re: New Guy!

Malco, oftentimes the "how to" questions are the most interesting, at least to me. There are a lot of ways to do things, we can always learn another. Even more interesting is the differences in the ways things are done, things that pass in one location and fail in others.

I am oftentimes amazed by what is approved in many areas but we wouldn't consider here. Our utility company gives us their own installation requirement book that is as large as the code book. Apparently we have rules no one else has for hooking up gas and electric.

Just the other day there was a discussion regarding framing with "split trimmers". The "how to" varies and I find those discussions interesting.

The "how much" are just fun.

I LOVE the "How To's", but NEVER on the first post.

Welcome to CT, Johnny

Couple of quick items on your profile - as you work for a GC, you might want to put down your trade / position (Framer, Trim, Sales, etc...) instead of GC - you might be surprised by the different answers you will get

Next please put your location in your profile, some questions have different answers based solely on your location

Welcome to the trades & best of luck

Re: New Guy!

Im a general contractor from the atlanta georgia area and i just found this site of professionals. I look forward to meeting many of you as i find this forum both informative and entertaining. The state of georgia has required all construction contractors to be state licensed as of july 2008 and i have met the requirements. work is slow but steady!
