N00b From NEPA

Hello, my name is Jason and I from northeast PA. My father has been in the excavation business for over 40 years, so needless to say, i grew up in it. We have a small business and perform all types of excavation including, developments, pipe work, lot clearing, foundations and septic systems. We have our own shale pit and looking to purchase a screener to screen top soil. I found this site while searching for some info online, so I thought I would join

Ever since I was a little boy, I always wanted my own shale pit. I'm jealous.

Welcome!

BASSMASTER

That is cool, I reside in Plymouth and do most of our work in Mountain Top.

How do the prices compare from PA to CT ???? I heard that it is crazy up there.

Re: N00b From NEPA

I was not doing much remodeling when I was in PA. I can not answer for your type of work as far as prices go, I don't do or use much excavation. Left PA in 1997, been in CT ever since.

Rates up here ara much higher. Can make alot more but, spend alot more. Cost of living much higher than PA. Housing, taxes etc.

The state of CT itself is nice. Still don't like the climate. Rather be in warmer climate but, the wife won't move.
