Here is week's end photo , just a few hours ago, before our obligatory friday beers. We just finished this basement stairs for a log themed addition. My dog Max is always on the job with me. We even carry her up to the roof when we work there so she can bark at deer. Most customers come to love her and the kids adopt her at every house. When I see my customers in town they want to know how Max is, the hell with me. Next week we build a matching set upstairs with a much larger log with a nice curve to make a sweeping stairway.

here is another shot of me and Maxie, last fall with an old bull I shot. She is a good elk hunting companion, very quiet, stays right next to me, sits still when I do, her body language gives me a clue if there are fresh elk or grizzly tracks on bare ground

it's legal to have a dog with you elk hunting. It's more of a detriment actually but it is nice to take her along for all day hikes in the mountains. Most of my shots are from ridge to ridge so there is very little close stalking, although she is no problem on a quiet stalk. Also there is never an argument about where to go, and she can go up to the top with me, where the shots are. It takes an act of congress to get my wife all the way up a mountain.

if the home owner gets work permit whether the contractor needs to do any documentation with building dept.what is the requirement for a small level general contractor (not builder)to get tracking no. from the builbing dept. and dot.thanks
