Just Checkin' In

Hey all ...

Found the site today and looking forward to being a part of it.

I starting my business about 5 years ago after being downsized from the telecom industry after 25 years. We built a lot of own facilities in the early years so that's kind of where I picked up my skills.

I'm a sole proprietor specializing in a lot of the smaller jobs you big guys don't have time for. Call me a handyman or whatever, I'm making a decent living doing what I love. I work with a couple other independent guys on the bigger stuff like roofs, siding, etc.

Welcome! I also make a decent buck doing the 'small stuff' that the big guys blow off. Bird dogging for GC's also pays with minimal effort.

I agree with that....We do alright with the small stuff too....

....and it's nice to help out the single mothers and the elderly - with small things (we always cut them a break - life is tuff enough as it is)

SE NH just over the MA line ... Little town named Hampstead, over by Derry and Salem ...
It's a great little community, excellent schools and such ... I've been very fortunate that I don't have to advertise ... I've gotten many jobs through my work with Cub Scouts and coaching sports ...
I also have the maintenance contract for the library which has led to many other good projects ...

I like that aspect as well ... I have collected some material through our local Freecycle board that I have used on various projects ... Its not much, but if I can save someone a few bucks in materials its worth it not only $wise, but it keeps good stuff from going to the landfill ...
