Introduction And A Question

Hey folks. I am not sure if I am supposed to be here. I quit contracting for a living 8 years ago, but still keep minumum insurance for side work. I am a manufacturers rep for a manmade stone company. My construction roots trace back to HVACR and electrical since that is the work my father does/owns. I learned I hated crawlspaces and attics at a young age and went to college. I found myself out of college and back in construction but learning new trades, drywall, masonry, framing, trim, painting. The fellow who taught me showed me the "union" way to do many of the above trades. I settled in on stonework and the high end paint finishes, commonly called faux. I still work with him, although he is doing things I can't just jump in and help with most of the time these days (think hand painted murals on ceilings).

Anyway I guess I could be categorized as a DIY by some, but I consider myself a tradesman who got into sales. I do work around the house on weekends when I don't take the kids fishing or such. I am about 1/3 of the way into the hardscape stone walls around the place, but still have another 100 tons or so to lay over time. My primary interest/reason for signing on is to gravitate over to the Masonry forum and discuss adhered masonry with regards to a few threads I saw over there about mix design.

So give me a yes or give me the boot.
