Idiot Aka Apprentice In WA

Kind of seems weird doing an intro, I've been reading everything I could on this site and others for several months (found out about this through Mike Holt's forum) and feel like I 'know' all of the regulars. Reading isn't posting however and I figured now that I've got roughly a trijillion questions built up that for the life of me I can't seem to find answers for, it would be useful to at least register and see if anyone on a contractor oriented site would be willing to field some questions from an apprentice. I've been doing this (sorry, I should say residential electric) work for about a year and I'm loving it, between actually feeling like I put in an honest days work (say on a 10,000sqf rough-in, not making that up, got the pics) and the challenge of navigating the NEC to make it not just a mandatory roadblock of sorts but a useful guide is mentally rewarding. I got into the field at 27, and from talking to other apprentices, that seems like a late age to be getting started, but I am certain I've found my calling. Prior to finding this field, my work mostly involved applying things that go bang to things that go 'boo' (I wished it were that easy, most things that required the 'bang' didn't oblige with the identifier of 'boo', usually more of a BOOOOOM), both 'public' and 'private' sector. Looking forward to reading much more from the forum, and maybe every so often, dropping my 1 cent in on a topic (like I said, a p p r e n t i c e, my having one cent to anyone's two here is probably pushing it, but the gov doesn't make a 1/100th cent so...).
