I think Nathan has a hot dog stand on Coney Island too if you're really ambitious...

Re: How Did You Find This Site? Welcome!

It was July 2, 2009, 10:03 P.M. ... I was Yahooing (because I hate google) some info about building showers and found myself constantly being directed to the site. I found it to be very informative. Then a voice came from the sky, although it might have been the tv, and said "Matthew, Contractor talk is good, join the site."

Re: How Did You Find This Site? Welcome!

Hi! I am super new to these forums! I found Contractor talk just through my online searches. I decided to spend some time on this one because I found it more interesting, fun discussions and people actually talked about real important issues and tasks, as well as inserting humor every once in a while.

I am excited to learn, and also give the advice that I have been taught in my trade!

Just busting your b@lls a little. Add your location and trade to your profile so you don't have to answer this question all the time.

Welcome to CT.

There's a software glitch which won't allow them to do that right now.

Re: How Did You Find This Site? Welcome!

Since no one else will admit it...I got directed here (by a google search) looking for pricing info...

Then I read, and read, and read

Whereupon I quickly realized that this was not the kind of place where such query's were well received...

So I joined and started "contributing"....

I fogged you! I was Googling stuff about Glidden paints and I found your site. I write for a painting mag and a few contracting mags.

Re: How Did You Find This Site? Welcome!

I got a call today from a gentleman town in Tri-Cities WA yesterday inquiring using our products on the hull of his boat and he said he found fellow boaters talking about one of our specialties on www.cruisersforum.com which really got me thinking...So I did some online hunting for a construction forum thing would be well suited for our industry, and voila I found this site. It is quite a coinsidence because in my digging throught the forum I found posts from one of our own here at SPI.

To funny!

Re: How Did You Find This Site? Welcome!

I came across the site after a concrete company owner came to me and asked me if id like to do bids for them. They are a small company and have never done bids, and I have no education or exp in the field. So I found this site and its been pretty helpful, have gotten much feeback since I signed on (about midnight last night). I'm hoping to learn the business, and not be an epic fail for the comapny lol.
