Pro- thanks for the welcome.

King- thanks for the welcome, and for giving me your advice. However, I reserve my right to free speech (this is America, right?), and Jesus is my King of Kings, and I will not shy away from speaking of the one who gave His life to save the whole world.
As always, I will try to be respectful and considerate, not pushing my views on anyone. I hope the same in return.

im a christian too, however this site is not owned by the government. and is idependant. Your rights to freedom of speech do not apply here and can be terminated at anytime. Im warning you because i have seen it happen.

people come here to talk contracting, and not religion. If you start talking religion here, i am going to want to defend everything you say, and then i will be here on the computer instead of out working or talking to people face to face.

I think that is the key. There are plenty of religious websites out there, but not that many good contracting sites, i just want to see it stay that way...

Fear not Mike. I don't believe in your god, but I do believe strongly in your freedom to see things that way and would defend it to the death. However, King of Crown is right, we are here to discuss business. It's nice when the site doesn't delve into any politics or religion. It might not seem so from your point of view, but some are actually offended by things like "god bless you" etc.

This is one of the best contracting sites on the internet (if not the best) and it is because the forum stays on track with it's purpose, helping contractors help each other. /me sounds like a radio ad......

Welcome aboard, I'm sure you'll learn a thing or two....and maybe even enjoy this place.

Mike, AA and King are just offering friendly advise to you, being that you're new here.

Just to let you know, in the past we have tried throwing around the idea of having a separate political forum but it got way out of hand in a hurry. Similar mudslinging and rude and ignorant arguments have occurred when the subject of religion has crept into threads.

For the most part, very few people here object to one's right to express their religious beliefs. I say "very few" because I can't speak for everyone.

The bottom line is that discussions about politics and religion seem to cause way too many arguments and bad feelings. This distracts from the main purpose of this forum - an exchange of ideas between contracting professionals.

We're glad to have you here and hope you come back and contribute often!
