Hello From NY

I've been surfing this forum for a while and haven't stopped to introduce myself. My name is jacsul, I run a small home remodeling biz here in upstate NY specializing in home conversions for seniors and disabeled individuals. When I'm not doing specality work I take on basic repair and remodel jobs to keep food on the table.

My biggest challenges are blending the right mix of effective marketing, ie: newsprint, yellowpages, flyers/doorhangers and internet marketing as well as targeted mailings.

At this point I can't survive on referrals alone.

Another grip I have is staying competitive against uninsured, flybynight contractors, or the guy who buys a some tools at the local HD / LOWES and now wants to be a contractor. (Sometimes educating prospects can be daunting)
