Hello From North Jersey

Hey, I'm James from Ipex. Not sure if anyone has heard of us, but we are a factory direct building supplier located in North Bergen, NJ. I'm new to the whole forum thing and am here to get an idea of what builders are looking for. If any of you could help, I would REALLY appreciate it. I hope to hear from some of you soon. Feel free to contact me through here or E-mail. Thanks and take care.

Hi James, Im a little out of the way but I think I have gotten calls from your sales dept. Are you busy? I am hoping for a strong spring, but I fear it not be the case. Things are abnormally slow around here and I think with the exception of the upper class areas the general public is finacially maxed out.

Hey Tom. I'm not sure if the call was from us. We don't make any outgoing calls to people other than our customers. And yes, things have been rather slow this year. I think it will pick up slighty when the weather becomes better, but not too much. Economy is low so construction and rehab has been down. Our big hit has been from the weather. Where are you from Tom?

North Jersey, I'll leave at that this is a public forum. I think we will get a small surge for spring tax returns but overall I think if it isnt in need of repair people will leave it alone. I feel like I saw this coming and couldnt make any adjustments, if things dont rebound we all will have problems. Lets keep our fingers crossed. The Jersey City area is busy this should be good for you. Im residential but commercial seems unaffected.

I agree. I'm south/central and my work is what HAS to be done more than what wants to be done.

Re: Hello From North Jersey

Welcome James. Tom M , Tim, I am in North Jersey also , Netcong to be exact. Basically biz is almost dead. Today Sunday, I did a quik estimate: customer wants this: remove a 5' x 5' mantle over heatalator. Then build a new cabinet which will include a TV space and electronics shelving, on each side now we bild a 24" wide cabinet, shelving, some glass doors. all gp floor to 8', doors to cover tv.
Oak.
guesstimate btween 7 or 8K, he calls me 3 hrs later, ha ha its a bit more than they want to spend, wanted it around 4 or maybe 5 tops!

Wanna know why we are all not working?

Jack
