Hello From NE PA
Hello all, (sorry for the long post)
Jumped back into the remodeling trade afer a 10 year stint with corporate America. We had a difference of opinion on what should be important to a mans family and back I am. 42 years and grew up a remodelers son. I have been packing shingles, 2X4s, sanding and holding my end of the board since I was 10 years old. Did a short term in the Army to get away from the free labor give away. After I got out went into the trades because thats what I did. Worked for a couple of GCs in Alaska, came back to PA because I liked the rural environment to raise my kids...thats where I fell in with Corp. My kids are gone and I took my profit sharing and jumped in with insurance, $17,000 in tools and a truck. 6 months into it I've done most of my work time and material mostly to get my feet back under me, get my name out there. I made a living, but sure haven't made any money. Think I'm ready now. Will be looking hard at how I bid my jobs, because I really need the work, but don't like working for nothing. Would like to move onto the jobs that people WANT done and not need done because those are the ones that are looking for quality, which is what I'm selling frst and foremost. I've been looking on here for the past week and can pretty much pick out the same type already. Glad to see there are alot of us out there. Thanks for all the information I've gotten/will get and hope I can be of value to everyone else |

Rhino,
Love your signature. I've been using it for years....You want it good, you want it fast or you want it cheap, take any two you want and I can deliver. Bryan |

Re: Hello From NE PA
Welcome! Many of my friends are from PA and I dated a girl up there once (in Williamsport).
Your story sounds much like mine. I did a little tour with the 82nd Airborne Division. |
