Hello From MA

Have been lurking in the shadows for a few months. Another member that I know told me I should join in the fun.

I don't miss trying to find parking in Boston.........I did a couple of jobs there and that was a bit of a nightmare.

Re: Hello From MA

Boston does suck for parking
especially when your truck doesnt fit in the parking garages

I used to pay at least $500 a week in parking tickets
til I got a parking permit from the city

and after first job I'd start charging parking fees in my estimate
no one wants to carry a bunch of quarters and go jingling down the sidewalk every two hours

Lived in Salem when I first got married. We're out in metro-west now, though my folks are still up on the north shore.

Re: Hello From MA

Boston is rad

I put to work so many homeless dudes
a few actually knew a trade

One guy helped me out
demo a 10 x 12 bath tile under 40mins using nothing but a hammer and flatbar, and he shoveled it all into a couple trash barrels and helped me hawl it down the 7 flights of stairs

He earned is drink on that night
