Hello From Floorman1
Hi guys and gals, glad to be a member of the site and to share whatever i have knowledge wise and informative with all of you that need to have some of your questions answered.
Okay,a little about myself,My name is Ray Loyed and i have been doing floors for the last 18 yrs+,the last 5.5 yrs i have been doing walmart remodels, polishing floors for kohls and doing Dollar generals and Sams Clubs. The last 2 yrs of the 5.5 yrs i have been doing this work i have been dedicated to the newest technologies of Sinak,Perma Crete,Retroplate,Ashford Formula,General Polymers and various other concrete treatment technics etc.And yes,i have been to school for all of them and have a very good reputation for doing whatever it takes to do the job and to get it done right!! I started my company in 1994 while i was living in Indiana,We(and yes,i said WE!!All of the people that are part of my company are just that,PART OF MY COMPANY.)MY COMPANY WOULDNT EXIST WITHOUT THE PEOPLE THAT WORK WITH ME!As of now i have a roofing company, builder, accoustical ceiling co.,and a very good painting company and of course myself and my guys for the flooring work.So as you can see,We are the one stop shop. I moved to Alabama in late 2001 and have just recently started back up,and am currently doing some painting since flooring work has fell over the last yr.I did my remodeling with another company which i ran a 6 man crew for doing my remodels,it was a good experience till the owner of the company started taking advantage of me by sending me to do a 7 man or 4 man job with just me and 2 dumbass helpers that didnt know **** and then i quit and figured it was time to show everyone what it was like to work for someone that is also just as human as they are, after all the company you work for is ONLY AS GOOD AS THE PEOPLE WHO DO THE JOBS FOR YOU!! I am looking for some more work as i can imagine is the reason the rest of us are on this site. But anyways,i welcome any kind of work.I am currently seeking to do some more traveling and trying to get into walmarts, etc. The company i was working for is blocking me at every step whenever i ask about who i should contact to get started, guess the competition scares them. I am hoping that someone on this site may know the answers to my questions. I have over 15 walmarts under my belt as a crew foreman and troubleshooter, have done some bidding on them for th company i worked for. I would even consider going to work for another company as a sub or for the company themselves. Thanks and i look forward to talking to all of you. |

Re: Hello From Floorman1
Welcome aboard, just to clarify, most peaple are not here to look for work, most are here to talk shop, and hang with others who can appreciate the challenges we face in our business.
