Hello And Do I Qualify...

to post on this forum?

A little background...20+ winter soltices ago (pre 2 kids and wife #2) I worked in the residential trades. I then worked for a few years through the local carpenters union, mainly commercial. After a serious injury I decided to become a machinist (was always a hobby). I am now building houses one at a time or assisting in thier build.

I have posted a little on the DIY forum (the sites sister board). Mostly because I felt much of my inquiries would come across as HO questions and I wanted to avoid that. The premise of this sites core user group I think is refreshing and I have fallowed the forum when time allows, appreciating it's knowledge base.

My desires to participate are mostly to ask for guidance in construction areas where those around me are unfamiliar or my desired practices are not the norm. I have learned to love the sites archives through it's search function.

My forum name has nothing to do with gaming and everything to do with the fact I survived and am nearly normal (don't listen to wife #1) from a c1,c3,c5 fracture. In laymans terms, I broke my neck. The "halo" is the brace that holds your head on when your neck is not doing it's job!

Let me know, Thanks!

Re: Hello And Do I Qualify...

If your background is that of being in the trades, even as an employee, I believe that would allow you to qualify.

If your posts become a DIY Question session, then it may be looked upon disfavorably.
