hello all

I'm very excited to have just discovered this site, what a great resource.

I'm an interior painter and decorative artist/muralist working in the SF bay area. I've been in the business for over 10 years and have worked with and learned from some very talented people. I'm now feeling confident enough to try going it on my own. I'm scheduled to take my CA painting contractors exam at the end of the of the month. Once I pass, I'll be in business. I'm very confident in my skills as a painter and project manager, my achilles heel is going to be estimating. I'm hoping to get some tips on this site to help me out with that. Everyone tells me it just takes practice, we'll see. I'm hoping to avoid making big mistakes in the beginning.

...looking forward to checking out the site some more.

Cheers,
Christine

Welcome to the site, Christine.

Be wary of asking pricing questions tho.
