Hello Again

It's been quite a while since I've frequented this site and I thought I'd drop in to say hello. In the past I posted here giving advice and ideas from a readymix concrete supplier's viewpoint, but that has all changed since I was last here.

The housing market in California is in the tank, and the construction trades are taking a beating. After 23 years with the same company I was downsized/laid off last October. I'd always meant to get my contractor's license at some point in time, but never seemed to get around to it. I took the opportunity with this 'early retirement' to go and get my general contractor's license. I'm pretty excited about it, and a little nervous as well. So I'll be checking in with you folks frequently to glean some of the vast amount of knowledge you all have. Thanks!
