Good Evening
Hello everyone:
New to this website which I believe may be extremely helpful to me and maybe I can pass on some helpful information. I have been an independant fire and explosion investigator in Alaska for 22 years. I am writing today because I could use a little help. I am familar with barometric dampers but today in trial another investigator testified the damper is for preventing wind from blowing down the flue and blowing the burner flame outside the combustion chamber. Does anyone have or know where I can get information showing what a damper is designed to do? Thank you for your assistance John Glenn |

Re: Good Evening
here is what I have on the subject, Bacharach has been around forever.
Quoted from the link below... "Draft diverters/hoods and barometric controls are designed to provide varying degrees of draft control and allow dilution air to mix with the flue gases to reduce the potential for condensation." http://www.bacharach-training.com/co...one/draft1.htm |
