Re: Gentlemen

So Dick
Let me see if we have this straight.
ONE supplier has you on their list as a MASTER roofing contractor however the only roofing they do is single ply.
You do or only know about one facet of one of the hundreds of building trades.
You introduce yourself as master. Of what torching down roofing.
We shall all prostrate ourselves to your superior standing

Are there a lot of Ordinary-Master Contractors out there?
Saying Elite-Master is redundant... not that I'm callin' you a liar or anything, god forbid.

Serious question, what does one have to do to become an Elite-Master Contractor in roofing?

Jeez Rich, take it easy, Strat was just yanking your chain a little. I suspect that the vast majority of us at CT never heard of a "Master Contractor".
I know I haven't. So take a deep breath and explain a little more about that, would you?

Andy, (I am one of the Masterb@8rs)

LOL! I wish I was so good that I didn't need to explain myself. That's like, deity?

Sorry, I just couldn't help responding to such a pompous statement.

Top roofing companyWhat is the standard that dictates a Top Roofing Company. Over the years i have come across many top companies that did substandard work. And as far as the Master Contractor award, i suspect if your volume with Duralast Roofing drops off, so will your Mastery Of Contracting. G

And We do all roofing systems, however we specialize in Duro-Last roofing system. Specializing in one system leads to roofing perfection. In order to be a master contractor you must achieve a grade of 98 out of a 100 on all your jobs. It distinguishes those contractors who have demonstrated a history of quality workmanship as well as maintained excellent sales volume with the manufacturer. There are all these fly by night contrators here but thanks for the nice warm welcome. Hmm There is other things that also have to do with it but I just dont have the time right now.

Top roofing company means the roofing goes on the TOP of the structure.

Ok, I'll bite.....

Let's see, so far we're told (by you) that you're a "Master Contractor". Fair enough. You achieve this status from / by your supplier, who sells you their product for installation. Or, they sell their product to the customer, you install it for them? Either way, back scratching back and forth. I suppose if I bought, installed, or both, enough squares of material from a supplier that I too could become a "Master Contractor" at the top of their list.

Who grades the installation? The supplier? You? Or an objective INDEPENDENT third party hired by neither you or the supplier? I'd give credence to the latter. If it's some rep, or you, filling out a checklist...well....

I don't doubt your belief of what you say, it's just coming across really, really strong. You almost (well, even do) imply that there's nobody better, or even as good, as you. Then you make a broad statement about "fly by night" contractors, implying here, or elsewhere. Hmmmm.....

I've been to OH many times. Nice folks there, very much down to earth. From my experience, respect is earned, not taken or commanded.

I hope you "find the time" to clarify some things.....

LOL

Well, I can see your point. The old "I'm better than everyone" thing is what I think got us started on the wrong foot.
