Don't Mine Me I'm Just Canadian!

Hello to all
Just want to introduce myself, I am a remodeling contractor in windsor ontario canada. Been working as a carpenter scince 1990, began as a summer worker for a small custom builder and developed into my own business. I also specialize in trim and cabinets.

What brand of ICF do you use?
I have used poly steel in the past, I did one complete house, basement plus two storeys and one basement only. I like the product but there isn't a big market for it up here. Mostly cost i beleive. I wish you a thousand double doubles!

I price what is spec'd on the plans. If nothing is spec'd I have a couple I deal with regularly and pursue which ever one I think fits the project best.

I think you must be isolated if you feel there is not much market for ICF's in Ontario, it's huge, you should look around. I know, I left there in '04 and right up until '07 Ontario led the way in ICF sales worldwide.

If you need a supplier, let me know, my Ontario guy is in Kitchener and covers your area.

I just ment that I have found that people here are a little on the cheap side. That and the fact that people consider ICF's to be new technology and anything new must be bad. Windsor is a strange market, most of the rest of Ontario dosen't know we exist.

No snow but a hell of a lot of rain lately. I spent about 3 months out your way 2 years back, I was on the island absolutely loved it. Kind of like being at the cottage all year round.

Hey, welcome. My Mudder and Fadder are Canadian, but Quebecois troublemakers and I am trouble too, no?

But I welcome you and I remember my Fadder always said "The French carpenters are the best", but I think he meant Canadians in general.
