Canadian Contractor's License

I'm new to the site, my name is Larry and I am a licensed contractor in the states and would like to become licensed in Vancouver/Whistler Area as a General Contractor and we do self perform some sub work as well. Is there a specific contractor's license required or just a business license in the City we wish to work in? Thanks for the help!!

LM

Re: Canadian Contractor's License

in not to sure for BC, but here in Ontario if, you are doing Addition, or new home building you need a GC license, other than that, a business license is good for business, taxes, loans, vehicles, ect ect. other than that as long as you can get the work, make a contract and pay taxes your good to go.................i suggest you look up city of vancover and call their 1800 #
