Brian rtx1500 texture

hey all can anyone be of help to me? I bought the graco rtx 1500 this machine had no air presure guage hopper in located on machine .for knock down what are the settings for gun mahine has material guage high and low but dosnt show air pressue what tip do you reccommend for knockdown ,this is a whole different set up from the kraft machine the hopper on the gun . Any input would be a great help .Manual dont give a very good example. This machine sprays all toether different than what im use too bought it for Faster and better quality work ,and not getting either lol mixing material the same as always cant get the same consistansy

Welcome. Yes that machine will take some getting used to. Once you figure out the RTX1500 you will love it. I have 2 of them. As far as the tips for knockdown. It all depends on the size of the knockdown you are trying to acheive. (I use a #4 for orange peel) So anything above that. The material setting is usually @ 3rd dot down from the top. Also, mess w/ the trigger control dial (not the air control lever) I beleive that's set @ about halfway.
I will check tomorrow on the exact settings and post that info for ya.

thanks for the reply do you have the valve wide open on your gun and adjust the triger setting? thanks again for your input im sure i ll like this machine onces i work out the kinks lol

Valve? If you mean the air lever. then no about halfway. But this all depends on the thickness of your texture mix.

i mix material the same way i do for the other sprayer with the hopper on the gun wich has worked good and consistant for me ,The unit here has alot more wallupp and a little more tricky to achieve the texture in lookin for .I had the material flow to high had it wide open .(Not good ). I used a #8 tip today turn down materil flow tweeked the trigger Much better results Thanks for the Help. Think im goin to like running this now
