Bout Time

I've been putting off introducing myself for too long, so here goes:

I currently work for a family owned Virginia Class A contracting company based out of Hampton Roads, VA.

For years we have mostly operated as a subcontractor to custom home builders for heavy shower enclosures, custom glazing & mirror work, bath accessories, and storage systems. But the slow down over the last year has forced us to lean more towards commercial or large multi family work (division 8 & 10).

I spend a majority of my time now estimating, bidding, and doing CAD design in order to keep our installers busy and on the payroll. Its challenging because I'd much rather be out in the field, but with uncertain times its a necessary evil.

Thanks for all the articles and advice I've already been enjoying

The laughs I get from reading this forum are a welcome relief from the everyday business.

Thanks,

Brian

P.S. - To add to our arsenal we acquired a Garage organization company over a year ago and just relaunched the website that can be viewed here:

(don't have enough posts yet for the URL )
